This striking 198-room deluxe hotel is nestled between the Shangri La Al Husn Resort & Spa and the adjoining Shangri La Al Waha on a rocky bay with 450-meter-long sandy beach. The decor of the rooms is traditional Omani.
Fortunately, the hotel is decorated with works by Omani artists and is thus also a museum of Omani contemporary art. A catalog raisonné can be found in the book "The Art of Barr Al Jissah" available at the reception or in the Bait al Zubair Museum in Muscat.
In 19 different restaurants you can choose specialties from South America, Italy, Spain, Morocco and of course Oman. From a casual family restaurant to fast food and elegant dinners, everything is on offer. A seafood restaurant on the beach completes the offer.
