The Wadi Darbat
Four kilometres east of Taqah, a tarmac road branches off to the left into Wadi Darbat. After heavy rainfall, wide, hundred-metre-high curtains of water cascade over its rocky terraces. The wadi is particularly worth visiting after the summer monsoon in October and early November, when everything is still green. The wadi is full of water and many small waterfalls line the wadi floor.
During the monsoon, the wadi is one of the main attractions for tourists from the Gulf States, who picnic under the trees in the mist and drizzle and take tours on the water in small boats.
