Art, culture and history, painting and photography by contemporary Omani and German artists with information panels on the country's culture and society and accompanying lectures.
The travelling exhibition was organised by Georg Popp and Alex Moll. The project was realised in cooperation with the German Adult Education Association, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Muscat and various companies in Oman and Germany.

The exhibition "Oman - Insights into an Unknown Arabia" under the patronage of the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, H.E. Ahmed Al-Hinai, was shown in the following 15 cities in Germany from June 2001 to July 2004: Nuremberg, Cologne, Hamburg, Lindau, Landshut, Saarbrücken, Dessau, Gut Haferkorn Bockelwitz educational centre, Wiesbaden, Bonn Bad Godesberg, Hagen, Bottrop, Solingen and Berlin.
The final exhibition at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin took place from 5 to 17 July 2004. The presentation at the Federal Foreign Office was also the first public appearance of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Berlin after its relocation.
Four Omani artists had travelled from Oman for the opening by Ambassador H.E. Ahmed Al-Hinai.
The media response to the exhibitions consisted of 19 newspaper articles, 2 radio programmes and 2 reports on local television stations.
