The Batinah coast is located to the north-west of the capital region and is very fertile, which is why there are many farms and plantations here. The main transport routes to Musandam and the Emirates run through the plain via the Batinah coast.

Unfortunately not on the main route of the classic round trips, there is very little accommodation here. However, the area is ideal for water sports and for exploring the beautiful and untouristic northern slope of the Hadjar Mountains with the large oases of Nakhl and Rostaq as well as several beautiful wadi valleys, especially for off-road vehicle exploration and trekking. Culturally, the area has a lot to offer, here are some highlights: Al Hazm Fort, the fortress of Nakhl, thermal springs near Nakhl, the souqs of Rostaq, Barka or Seeb.
