Entry for stays of up to 14 days without a visa from 109 countries (including Germany and almost all European countries) A subsequent extension is not possible. A visa is required for stays of more than 14 days and up to 30 days. This must be applied for electronically in advance from the Oman Royal Police. The 30-day visa costs OMR 20 (approx. EUR 60) and can be extended for a further 30 days for the same amount.
Important:Apply for the visa at the earliest 4 weeks before entry, otherwise it will expire. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip and should not have an Israeli stamp as a precaution.
The online application is a bit tricky and you need some time and certain computer skills.
We will be happy to apply for your visa for you - with a processing time of a few days (3-5 working days) and for a service fee of EUR 70 plus 19% VAT per person - which must be paid together with the visa application by invoice and in advance.
Documents required for the visa application: clearly legible passport copy/scan, passport photo or reputable portrait photo (does not have to be biometric), the marital status of the traveller and the name of the mother. The documents can be sent to us by post or by email.

In principle (without corona restrictions) the following applies: German nationals do not require a visa to enter the country by land from the United Arab Emirates for stays of up to 14 days. A visa is required for stays in Oman of more than 14 days. It is necessary to apply for an eVisa online before travelling. When travelling from Oman to the United Arab Emirates, please note that a single-entry visa issued for Oman does not entitle the holder to re-enter Oman and a new visa is required. In addition, the visa regulations of the United Arab Emirates must be observed.
For the time being, there are no fees for tourist visas when entering the Emirates at Dubai airport. However, if you are travelling overland from the Emirates to Musandam (Oman), for example, you must pay an exit fee to the Emirates in addition to the entry visa to Oman (if you are staying longer than 14 days).
It is forbidden to import fresh food, alcohol, e-cigarettes, plant seeds and pornographic articles, free cover pictures of serious magazines, counterfeit money, drugs and weapons, drones.
The import of alcohol by land and sea is prohibited. This should be noted by guests arriving in Oman, for example, on an organised trip by bus from the Emirates or on a cruise ship. Those arriving in Muscat by air are allowed to carry 2x 1 litre of alcohol in their luggage. eCigarettes may neither be brought in nor consumed.
In addition, items for personal use (photographic and film equipment, mobile phones) are permitted. The import and export of foreign currency and Omani currency is also not subject to any restrictions.
The export of fossils, corals, archaeological artefacts and historical cultural artefacts is prohibited and is subject to heavy fines!
