The Manaltheeram Ayurveda Village

The grounds of the Somatheeram Ayurveda Village are separated from the Somatheeram Ayurveda Village and the Ayursoma Royal Retreat by a small road. It is situated about 40 metres above the sea and is densely overgrown with tropical plants. The reception and restaurant are located in separate small buildings. The accommodation consists of traditional round mud huts close to the coastal slope with partial sea views or small wooden huts typical of Kerala.

Both house types have their own small terrace with a small table and chairs, deckchair or hammock.

Ayurveda cures are offered all year round. Local temperatures are relatively stable and fluctuate between 28 and 34 degrees throughout the year, with the months of April and May usually being the hottest and September to November the coolest. From May to September, the climate is strongly influenced by the regional monsoon. During this time, the monsoon winds repeatedly cause rainfall and the sea shows its wilder side. Swimming in the Indian Ocean is therefore not possible from May to September. The heaviest rainfall is in the month of June, in the months of May and September, the rains are usually only sporadic. Ayurveda doctors consider the monsoon season to be the most suitable for the cures, as the body is not exposed to massive sunlight during this time.  

All room categories have air conditioning / room safe / mosquito nets over the bed and on the windows / small tea kettle / bath slippers,the Kerala Häuser also has a TV and a small fridge.
