Arabic language course in Oman - more than just a trip

We organise intensive Arabic language courses for beginners to advanced learners - in the capital Muscat in the lively Al Khuwair district or inland, in the city of Nizwa, approx. 1.5 hours' drive from Muscat.

Although there is also a local dialect in Oman, it is not very far from modern standard Arabic. We organise intensive language courses in the cities of Muscat and Nizwa. We offer 4 to 12-week courses at various levels in small groups - on request we also offer individually designed course programmes for 10 days, for example.

Offered is the internationally recognised „Al-Arabiyya-Test. Arabic Language Proficiency Test“ (developed by the Orient Institute of the University of Leipzig). The courses can be recognised as part of a degree course in the form of credits and as educational leave.

Transfers from Muscat airport and student visas can be organised for course participants. You will stay in student flats in twin rooms. (Single rooms are available on request for an extra charge). In Muscat, trips and excursions, shopping trips, individual conversation lessons and lunch on course days are included in the course programme. No accompanying programme is currently offered in Nizwa. However, the traditional souq and the Al Aqr district in Nizwa with its shops, cafés and restaurants can be reached on foot, where Arabic can be used more quickly than in internationally renowned Muscat.

Here is our latest feedback from May 2025:

I have now booked an Arabic language course in Oman through Arabia Felix for the third time - once in Muscat and now twice in Nizwa. The additional services offered, such as my hire car and the communication with Arabia Felix when preparing and booking the trip, were very good. My absolute favourite place remains Nizwa. I was there for three months and although I am a pensioner, I had no problems in class. On the contrary, I received all the support I asked for. As a former headmistress of a grammar school, my focus is also on the didactic and methodological conception of lessons and this absolutely convinced me at the Daaris Institute. The learning conditions outside the classroom were also ideal. My student flat was just across the street and shops, cafes, the souq and Nizwa Fort were only a 5-minute walk from the flat. So I was able to relax every evening and have nice conversations with Omanis in Arabic. For me as a pensioner travelling alone, Oman is a wonderful and safe country. I'll be back again next year.
