Tour guide Rasul Telemishev

Mr Rasul Telemishev lives in Bishkek and teaches German at the J. Balasagyn National University of Kyrgyzstan. 

His studies in German language and literature took him, amongst other places, to Chemnitz and Munich with the DAAD, where he undertook academic research at Ludwig Maximilian University on the topic of „The Berlin Wall and the division of Germany in works of German literature“ at Ludwig Maximilian University. 

For many years, he worked as a consultant, facilitator and translator for institutions in Kyrgyzstan and for delegations from Switzerland in the field of supporting small businesses and start-ups.&

Born in 1980, he experienced his country under Soviet rule during his first decade of life and can speak from first-hand experience about social, political and economic developments and changes in the country. In addition to his academic interests, he has a strong network of contacts amongst small businesses in the craft and arts and crafts sectors.
