Oman Vision 2040 is the national reference for economic and social planning for the period 2021-2040 and the basis for national sector strategies and five-year development plans.
In order to strengthen the role of the various sectors of Omani society in building the country's future, the development of Oman Vision 2040 has taken a participatory approach, with people from different parts of Oman contributing their views and input at various stages of development.
It targeted the public and private sectors, civil society institutions, community councils, academic institutions, women, youth, media professionals, people with special needs, university students and schoolchildren, and migrant workers.
In total, more than 41,000 members of society participated in the development of Oman Vision 2040.
