The Alila Jebel Akhdar

One of Oman’s top luxury destinations, situated in a secluded spot on the Saiq Plateau of Jebel Akhdar.

This luxury hotel from the Alila brand has now made a name for itself amongst connoisseurs. Tastefully designed with luxurious, natural stone-clad bungalows near a canyon at the far edge of the Saiq Plateau on Jebel Akhdar, at an altitude of 2,000 metres, the hotel opened a few years ago and offers its guests all the top-class luxury one would expect from this brand.

For the sake of navigation, the journey to Alila Jebel Akhdar should be planned for daylight hours by self-drive visitors; the route follows the well-maintained but steep and winding road up Jebel Akhdar from Birkat al Mauz. The journey from Muscat to the hotel takes around two hours. Accessible only by 4x4.

The hotel grounds are very extensive; we recommend the informative nature trail across the grounds, which takes just under an hour to complete.
